Dear Shock Jock,
You present yourself as a dog lover, a champion of canine companionship. You boast about your methods, your “expertise” in training dogs to obey. But let’s be crystal clear—your approach is anything but loving. You’re not just training dogs; you’re subjecting them to unnecessary pain and suffering. That is called abuse. Animal abuse is a felony.
Your shocking techniques aren’t about love. They’re about control and submission, disguised under the label of training. You claim that it doesn’t hurt, that it’s a “harmless” way to correct behavior. How can you sleep at night, knowing the truth? The truth that each shock, each prong collar "pinch", is an act of cruelty that no dog should endure.
I have taken a stand against your methods. I’ve removed those prong and shock collars from the equation entirely. I basically pay people to give them to me. I hide them when I see them in stores...I didn’t earn a fraction of what you’ve made by exploiting these devices, but I have something far more valuable—the gratitude of dogs who have won their freedom, their choice, kindness, and understanding. AGENCY.
When we choose empathy over punishment, we’re not just saving dogs; we’re transforming lives. By rejecting outdated, egotistical training methods, we’re offering something far more profound: respect and love.
The dogs win, their people win, and ultimately, we all win when we embrace compassion over cruelty.
